This video shows us interviewing both young and older adults to find out a bit more about the people that we should aim our thriller at and what a thriller opening should be like. we asked:
How old they were
What their favourite thriller is
What they expect to see in an opening of a thriller
Whether they like this genre of film
by asking these questions it helped us determine who is going to be our main target audience for this piece (we've decided on young adults). for example, all of the young adults stated that they liked this type of film meaning that thrillers are well suited to this age group. furthermore, we were able to get an idea of the best things to put in our opening by asking what they expect to see. for example, on the second clip, one of the girls stated that they expect to see something major that the rest of the film can focus on meaning that we were then able to decide as a group that we were going to do something similar where we show a significant event that occurred and then aim for the rest of the film to be based around it.
